Reliance India Mobile [CDMA] : Personal Review
By nurid
This is the third year since I am using Reliance Mobile. Though my experience with this mobile says that this is not the perfect mobile operator to carry on, but yet there is something that is really quite compelling.
Let me start my discussion of this mobile with its tariff plans. With increasing competition, we are seeing huge rush of attractive tariff plans being offered by almost all mobile operators. However, when it comes to really nice tariff plans without any sort of hidden charges, then definitely Reliance Mobile scores much higher that its competitors. I am a fan of its free plan. The free plan that this operator offers can not be found with any other operators. By paying a fix monthly rental I can call anywhere in the country on the same network without any charge. My family and friends are also using Reliance Mobile hence I don’t need to worry about call charges.
Second fabulous stuff with this operator is its wide coverage. I have noticed that this operator has successfully added its network coverage to the whole country. Wherever I may be the network coverage never seems to missing me. My job demands too much traveling and this mobile helps me to stay connected even though I am located in some far hinterland.
The voice clarity of this mobile is also worth applauding. It is said that the voice quality of CDMA is better that GSM, but let me write here honestly that the clarity of voice with Reliance Mobile is far much better than other CDMA operators in the market.
However, there are also some hiccups with this service. First one is very poor customer support system. Seldom, I got satisfactory response from their customer care executives. Executives also seem to be badly trained as they often treat me in harsh manner.
This mobile also lacks contemporary Value Added Service. The internet connectivity of this mobile also leaves much to be desired.
